RTA’s Smart Partnership with Swivly: Revolutionizing Real-Time Bus Info for Dubai's Public Transport Users

In a bid to enhance the passenger experience and increase customer satisfaction, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a collaboration with Swivly to improve its Real-Time Passenger Information (RTPI) system. This cutting-edge platform, accessible through RTA’s S’hail app and other third-party applications, provides real-time updates on bus arrivals and locations.

Leveraging big data and predictive analytics, this system factors in real-time traffic conditions, delays, and service interruptions to provide accurate bus arrival estimates. The platform aims to empower passengers with up-to-the-minute information, making public transportation more efficient and reliable.

Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of RTA’s Public Transport Agency, emphasized, “Our partnership with Swivly aims to increase customer awareness of real-time bus locations, provide more accurate bus schedules, and offer feedback in case of delays due to traffic, accidents, or other factors. This collaboration uses big data to significantly improve bus arrival predictions.”

Since the introduction of this partnership, the accuracy of estimated arrival times has improved by 24%, reducing passenger waiting times and helping users plan their journeys with confidence.
